Who Am I?
In our ongoing academic debates over reproductive technologies, it is perhaps all too easy to forget the real issue: we are talking about how we treat human persons, created in God’s image, who have incalculable worth. Sometimes it is good to step back and put a face on the special children whose lives are in the balance.
My good friend Dr. Joy Riley, Director of the Tennessee Center for Bioethics and Culture, has produced a short video entitled “Who Am I?” It is a poignant exploration of what it means to be a donor-conceived child.

At last an item about donorship with the donateds in mind - after all donorship is about them. The quest to experience nine months gestation is unfair on the donateds who have been removed from their roots for this nine month experience. Please see http://needing-fathers.blogspot.com features a point from the UN’s Convention On The Rights Of The Child, as well as links to the donateds’ own websites.
